Parental Involvement: Interview Series

The series will involve identifying and selecting youth soccer coaches from around the world with an array of qualifications and experiences. Allowing coaches to share their insights surrounding parental involvement within youth sports.

16.Johan Fallby – F.C. Copenhagen – sport psychologist with a cognitive behavioural therapy approach working and frequently hired by the Swedish Olympic Committee, the Swedish Sport Federation and other NGBs.

17.Kristoffer Lie – MSc Sports Coaching Candidate – UEFA A Licence candidate, former PE Teacher, academy coach for Norwegian premiership side Lillestrøm SK and the Norwegian FA working closely with U14 – U16.

18.Andres Giske – Founder: Giske DefendingUEFA A License Coach38 Caps for Norway, Ex-Prof  Bayer 04 Leverkusen, FC Cologne, FC Nürnberg among other clubs.

19.Andy Edwards – UEFA B candidate, 8 years coaching experience all ages from 5-16 in grassroots clubs, schools and development centres. FA Level 1, Level 2, Youth Award (assessed), Futsal Level 1, Coerver Youth Diploma 1 and 2.

20.Gordon MacLelland Part 1 /  Gordon MacLelland Part 2 – CEO: Working with Parents in Sport, qualified teacher and have been a Director of Sport, 20 years of coaching experience.

21.James Parry, coaching for 9 years, 3 years full time. UEFA B Licence Holder, Coerver Youth Diploma Holder, FA Level 2 In Talent ID, USW MSc Sports Coaching. Currently Llandudno Schools & Community Co-Ordinator and Academy Head Coach.

22. Juan Gonzalez Mendia, BA, MSc, PGCE, Ph.D. Student. Playing experience: Argentina Schools at U16 and U18. Coaching Qualifications: RFU Level 3 UKCC and World Rugby Level 3

23.Alfie Tate, 17 years old football coach and living in Cambridgeshire. FA Level 2 Qualified and have been coaching for the past 4 years working with age groups from U5’s all the way through to U18’s.

24.Amy McDonald, Head coach Rangers WFC & Scottish FA under 15 assistant coach. UEFA A license holder.

25.Michel Ribeiro, Technical coach at Sporting Kansas City, 14 years technical coach at KRC Genk. Ex-professional player playing 10 years in Belgium and Holland.

26.Colton Bryant, Head College Coach, Assistant NWSL Coach, Owner of soccer academy (– @PFDAofficial)

27.Laurie McGinley, Football Development Officer at @GlasgowGirlsFC  & Head Coach of the Senior Development Team

28.Gérard Jones, MSc, PGCE, DOC& Player Development at John Jay FC in Katonah-Lewisboro, New York. Responsible for Staff Development in Connecticut and New York for UK Elite Soccer. Other: Business Owner, Author, Public Speaker, Coach Educator, Teacher

29.Ross Struel – Clarke, FAW UEFA B Licence as well as Youth Modules 1, 2 and 3 & MA in Sports Broadcast Journalism. Coached in countries such as UK, USA and China.

30.Kurtis Wright-Pottinger, FA level 2 coaching certificate, FA futsal level 1, Sports coaching diploma (level 5) and a number of different coaching qualifications in various sports. Coaching local teams and in schools for almost 16 years now.

31.Ula Koczkodaj, Education: Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management (Point Park University, 2016); Master of Arts in Teaching (Bethany College 2018)⁣⁣; Certifications: USSF “F” Coaching License; USSF “Grassroots 11v11, 9v9, 4v4” Coaching Licenses; USSF “D” Coaching License;

32.V.J.Stanley, an ex Division 1 recruited athlete and a 21 year head coach in college hockey, who formed Balanced Excellence (formerly Frozen Shorts). Coached youth, Middle School, and High School sports. He has presented nationally to numerous organizations including USA Hockey, NSCA Regional, National PE  Institute, NYSPHAA Physical Education conference, NYSHS football coach’s’ annual conference, and many more⁣

33.Bobby Puppione, ⁣Girls Academy Director at TSJ FC Virginia. I was formerly the Technical Director and Director of Coaching at CUP/Cincinnati United and Cincinnati Development Academy. An USSF A License and US Soccer Academy Director License, and I am a US Soccer Grassroots Coach Educator. I received my undergrad and master’s degrees from the University of Alabama.

34.Steve Payne, Former semi-pro players, briefly played as schoolboy with Charlton Athletic. Pro Licence coach. Worked and or studied soccer in U.K. North America, Brazil, Australia, Netherlands and Costa Rica.

35.Jorg van der Breggen Part 1/ Part 2 , UEFA-A Coach, Coach Educator Dutch FA, the KNVB – Develop and implement plans with and for grassroots and – professional youth football.

36. Manisha Tailor MBE, QPR’s Academy as Foundation Phase Lead & Company director of Swaggarlicious Limited. MBE for services to football and diversity in sport, UEFA B and Advanced Youth Award and am currently on my A Licence journey. BA Education (Teaching Degree), MA in Leadership, National Professional Qualification for Headship.

37. Walter Clapton 25 years old, Director of Soccer Western PA & U.S. Soccer Instructor.English FA Level 2, Youth Modules 1, 2 and 3 and have also completed the U.S. Soccer “C” License, with “B” License
